Are you working in practice and looking to take the leap into commerce, but continue to study and qualify?

Are you currently working in an accountancy practice and looking for your first move into industry? This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious ACA or ACCA part-qualified Accountant to join a PE-backed, multi-site group supporting eight trading businesses.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full finance cycle from bookkeeping and month-end accounts through to business partnering, while working closely with an experienced finance team that will help accelerate your development.

The Role

You will take ownership of the day-to-day and month-end financial processes for a portfolio of sites, acting as the go-to finance contact for each. This is a role with genuine variety, impact and visibility with a clear route for progression.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all-around bookkeeping across multiple entities
• Preparing month-end management accounts, reconciliations and journals
• Supporting variance analysis and providing insight into financial performance
• Working directly with operational managers to help them understand financial results
• Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting VAT and compliance processes
• Assisting with the continuous improvement of systems and processes as the group scales
  
  

About You

We’re looking for someone who is eager to make the leap from practice into industry and take on broader, more commercial responsibility.

You will bring:

• Experience within an accountancy practice, supporting clients or multi-entity accounts
• ACA or ACCA part-qualified status
• Solid grounding in bookkeeping, reconciliations and accounts preparation
• Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge (Xero desirable)
• Confidence in communicating with non-finance stakeholders
• A proactive, organised mindset with strong attention to detail
