As a QC Microbiology Specialist, you’ll support technical operations through microbiological testing, data review, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values precision, innovation, and safety - working on exciting new development projects and contributing to a culture of excellence. This is a shift based position consisting of 4 on/4 off days 8am-7pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and review microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
  • Lead investigations into OOS/OOT results and support CAPA implementation
  • Conduct environmental and utility monitoring in cleanroom and controlled environments
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure inspection-readiness
  • Provide training in microbiological techniques and support team development
  • Drive process improvements and support validation and project work

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated microbiology lab (pharma or biopharma)
  • Proficiency in environmental monitoring, bioburden testing, and microbial identification
  • Degree in a relevant life sciences subject (Microbiology preferred)
  • Ability to work according to shift pattern (4 on/4 off days 8am-7pm)
