Position: Finance Expert

Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $80–$120 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous

Duration: Contract-based, with potential for long-term engagement

Role Responsibilities

• Assist with financial modeling, including 3-statement models, budgeting/forecasting, valuation (DCF, comps, precedents), deal models (LBO, M&A), cash flow/liquidity, and capital budgeting/structure.
• Develop presentations for investment committee memos, portfolio/board updates, budget/planning decks, market/earnings updates, transaction/CFO materials, and/or pitch decks.
• Review and prepare investment memos, legal/transaction documents, investor communications, budget/forecast narratives, due diligence materials, research reports, and/or regulatory/compliance documentation.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data and models.
• Work closely with AI research teams to provide domain expertise for financial tasks.

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience working at top firms in investment banking, private equity, or another financial analysis or modeling role.
• Expertise in financial modeling: 3-statement, budgeting/forecasting, valuation (DCF, comps, precedents), deal models (LBO, M&A), cash flow/liquidity, and/or capital budgeting/structure.
• Experience preparing presentations and documents for investment committees, portfolios, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling tools.
