Forget Me Not Unit, Worthing

£24,937 – £26,598 per annum (Band 3, pro rata for part time)

37.5 hours per week

Long days and night shifts

Fixed term – 12 months

Closing date: 29 December 2025


About the role

We’re looking for a Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) to join our specialist Forget Me Not Unit in Worthing, supporting women with dementia within an acute inpatient setting.


This is a challenging but incredibly rewarding role, offering the chance to make a real difference to people living with dementia and their families, while developing your skills in a highly supportive, multidisciplinary environment.


Experience is welcome but not essential – we’re looking for people with the right values, compassion and motivation to learn.


What you’ll be doing

• Supporting patients with daily living and personal care

• Working alongside nurses, consultants and the wider MDT

• Helping deliver a therapeutic and dementia-friendly care environment

• Communicating with patients, families and carers

• Observing, recording and reporting patient needs and progress

What we’re looking for

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to learning and personal development

• The ability to work shifts, including long days and nights

Experience in dementia or mental health care is desirable but not essential – full support and training will be provided.
