Packaging Technologist

This role exists to stop that happening.

We’re working with a well-established food manufacturing site in the East Midlands looking for a Packaging Technologist to own packaging on site - from feasibility through to launch, and everything in between.

This is a hands-on, site-based role. Not a desk-only packaging job. Not a “someone else signs it off” role.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Introducing and changing packaging from feasibility to delist
• Completing NPA, Recipe Professor and Foods Connected sign-offs
• Artwork checks, redesign support and pass-on-press approvals
• Coordinating transit and internal trials
• Managing day-to-day packaging issues with suppliers
• Raising and managing SNCs
• Tracking packaging waste for EPR compliance
• Maintaining the site packaging database
• Supporting customer and third-party audits

What They’re Looking For:

• Experience in a packaging or technical role (food manufacturing preferred)
• Strong packaging knowledge
• Food & Drink Labelling or Packaging Technology qualification (desirable)
• Organised, practical, and comfortable managing your own workload

The Practical Stuff:

• Site-based role (East Midlands)
• Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
• Permanent
• Some national / occasional international travel
