Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Health and Social Care tutor to join our team and manage all aspects of delivering our Health and Social Care courses (Level 1 – Level 3) through a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) using our innovative blended learning platform.

Responsibilities include preparing engaging course materials, delivering sessions on health and social care topics, supporting learners’ education and personal growth, and assessing their progression throughout the course. This is either an on-site position (Croydon) or remote-based (courses delivered over Zoom), where the tutor will actively contribute to shaping the learning experience and ensuring learners are equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in their careers. Courses are delivered over 4 consecutive weeks, so you would need to be available for 4 weeks at a time.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills to successfully engage with learners and provide excellent support.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the Health and Social Care industry to deliver relevant and practical training.
  • Experience and understanding of working with groups of unemployed adult learners, specifically delivering short, accredited courses to diverse groups of unemployed learners. Please note, this is a prerequisite, applicants will not be reviewed if they do not have this specific experience (experience in short courses should be less than 3 months).
  • Adult teaching qualifications (such as PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent) and previous experience in a tutor role in the Further Education sector.
  • Track record of high achievement rates and strong learner satisfaction feedback.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework.
