Role

As a Data Service Owner, you will be responsible for ensuring data-related technology services operate reliably and effectively, enabling the organisation to achieve its business goals. Working in close partnership with Product Owners, you will help align service operations with product development priorities, oversee service performance, and resolve operational challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Product Owners to ensure service delivery supports product objectives and delivery schedules.
  • Leading regular service review sessions to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day service operations and performance-related enquiries.
  • Defining, maintaining, and delivering service roadmaps that align with the broader strategy and vision.
  • Monitoring service health through metrics, dashboards, and logging tools, and using insights to drive action.
  • Identifying potential risks to service continuity and addressing them proactively.
  • Ensuring services adhere to organisational standards, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives informed by data, user feedback, and operational insights.
  • Establishing and maintaining problem management practices to reduce repeat incidents.


Key Skills

  • Experience supporting or managing operational technology services.
  • Proficiency in monitoring service performance using metrics and dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks for technology services.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate service delivery risks.
  • Experience planning for service capacity and scalability.
  • Track record in process management and implementing service improvements.
