Job Title: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Within 1 hour of West Thurrock / South Side of the River

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (DOE)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and groundworks contractor. This role is ideal for individuals early in their QS career who are looking for hands-on project exposure, stability, and a clear pathway for progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and managing project cost estimates, valuations, and commercial reports
• Support senior QS staff with measurements, BOQs, and site assessments
• Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial performance
• Assist in subcontract procurement, package management, and payment processes
• Maintain accurate documentation and commercial records
• Participate in site visits and liaise with site teams as required

Requirements

• Ideally some QS experience or understanding of groundworks/civil engineering
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or similar
• Strong numeracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail
• Good communicator with a willingness to learn
• Must be based within 1 hour of West Thurrock
