Osprey Engineering Solutions is looking for an Workshop Fitter in Warrington
Job description
Job Purpose
- Strip down and assess pumps for repair.
- Work with admin staff and the Workshop Supervisor.
- Complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and related documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assess pump repairs and determine required spare parts.
- Rebuild pumps as needed.
- Communicate with internal teams.
- Join the on-call team (typically 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weeks).
- Visit customer sites and other workshops for support.
- Ensure accurate and timely assessments of pumps.
- Maintain high standards in health, safety, environment, and housekeeping.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in processes.
- Be willing to work away from home if needed.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Mechanical apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience with pump repair and general engineering.
- Knowledge of engineering measuring equipment.
- Health & safety training.
Desirable:
- Electrical training.
- BTEC National Certificate/Advanced Diploma.
- Safety passport.
- Pump OEM training.
- Experience with laser alignment and site work.
- Ability to write failure reports and quotations for clients.
- Experience liaising with site engineers/managers.
