Location: Oxford – Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)

Contract: 6-month contract (likely to be extended)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Rate: £24.05 per hour PAYE / £32.18 per hour Umbrella

Security Clearance: DBS required


About the Role

Our Client is seeking two experienced Compliance Investigators to join their team in Oxford. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory and operational compliance within a Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) environment. You will conduct in-depth investigations into compliance-related issues, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions to ensure adherence to aviation safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into compliance-related incidents, discrepancies, and safety concerns.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to support audits and resolve non-conformances.
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports and engage with stakeholders across maintenance, engineering, and safety teams.
  • Promote best practices in safety, human factors, and compliance monitoring.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in compliance investigations within an aviation maintenance or aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA Part 145, UK CAA regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Expertise in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of Human Factors principles and performance limitations.
  • Ability to analyse technical documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and data analysis software.


Desirable

  • Experience with MEDA investigations, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations and ISO 9001/AS 9100 standards.
  • Aviation Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
