We have a position available in our Telford Service Centre for an experienced Calibration Engineer. This will involve Calibration/validation/Repair of dimensional test instruments and mechanical torque tools to maintain functionality and accuracy
Tests, calibrates/validates and repairs mechanical / dimensional, or analytical test instruments, products and modules to maintain functionality and accuracy. Service is performed on Keysight products and/or products manufactured by another company. Work is typically performed at a Keysight site but occasionally is performed at a customer location. Performs routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment. Solves a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity. Solves test and calibration problems which require deep technical knowledge
Responsibilities
- Both Keysight and non-Keysight products are serviced. Work is performed at the Telford Service Centre.
- Performing routine tasks, using prescribed procedures and technical duties that may require use of judgment.
- Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity.
- Understand customers’ requirements through face to face and written communication.
- Travel to customer sites <25% performing calibrations (On-site).
Qualifications
- Education: Higher education degree or specialised training/certification in a relevant technical field
- Experience: Experience in mechanical calibration, maintenance, and repair. Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using calibration tools and software. Understanding of mechanical systems, components, and measurement principles.
- Problem-Solving: Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various environments.
