Technology Specialist - System Management in Bradford

We’ve got an opportunity for a Systems Management Technology Specialist to join our Technology team at our support centre in Bradford.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Services, you'll lead the development and maintenance of efficient and reliable products, applications and services to meet agreed business needs, through the management of teams, and/or through monitoring and control of standards and quality. This will include providing specific expert advice or strategic input and guidance to senior colleagues.

Here at Morrisons our Systems Management Technology Specialist does the following;
 

• Supports the development of the domain specific strategy and roadmap, enabling a clear vision for the domain
• Acts as Subject Matter Expert for the technology domain and supports the establishment of a centre of excellence/competency centre around the technology
• Leads on programmes of work impacting the domain e.g. IT Simplification
• Develops and maintains a high level of competency and technical excellence within the team
• Tests and proves all changes impacting the technical domain to ensure service is not impacted and that the desired outcomes are achieved
• Leads the service management disciplines around incident, problem and change management

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful Systems Management Technology Specialist?

• Design/Implementation/Administration of HP Ops Bridge / Operations Manager.
• Design/Implementation/Administration of HP UCMDB 
• Design/Implementation/Administration of integrated solutions (Eg. Case to case incident exchange)
• Understanding of working with an enterprise license agreement
• High appreciation of toolsets across the IT spectrum. Knowledge of ‘best of breed’ and best fit for an organisation.
• Demonstrate awareness of cloud systems and hosted delivery (Eg. Amazon EC2, S3, CloudWatch)
• Design/Implementation/Administration of HP Service Manager 9.x. would be very advantageous
• Knowledge of micro services as well as traditional Operations systems (Windows, Linux)
• Service Management best practices (ITIL, COBIT)
