Job description
The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers (builders, architects, quantity surveyors, landscapers, and homeowners).
- Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into sales
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product ranges, technical specifications, and industry standards.
- Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives
- Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers
Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, ideally in the construction, building materials, or natural stone sector.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of construction/architectural processes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications (desirable)
- 1-3 years sales experience
- Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
- Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
