Job description
A Staffing Business Development Manager identifies new client opportunities and builds strong relationships with them by understanding their staffing needs, pitching staffing solutions, and negotiating contracts to achieve revenue targets. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, collaborating with recruitment teams, presenting sales proposals, and tracking industry trends to drive business growth and maintain market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation:
- Researching and identifying potential clients and new business opportunities within the staffing industry.
Relationship Building:
- Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with HR managers and decision-makers at target companies.
Sales & Pitching:
- Presenting staffing solutions (like contract, direct hire, or RPO) and tailoring them to meet specific client needs.
Negotiation & Closing:
- Negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and terms of business with clients.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with recruitment teams to ensure client requirements are met by the candidate pipeline.
Market Analysis:
- Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to inform business strategy.
Sales Performance:
- Achieving and exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets for the company.
Reporting:
- Tracking placement success metrics, client feedback, and monitoring sales performance against set targets.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Typically a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Several years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the staffing industry.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, revenue growth, and winning new business.
