STORES ASSISTANT

Job description

To assist the current team with a variety of duties including loading and unloading, unpacking deliveries, placing goods including electric motors on shelves, general stores control, packaging customer consignments, stores housekeeping, routine paperwork etc

Please note that this job does involve some heavy lifting and also involves the need for a FLT licence for which training, and assessment could be given. A driving licence would be advantageous.

There is an important requirement to maintain and improve stock control in the department and this as a priority of the role.  

Inputting to the Park Gate computer system details of new motors delivered to the company.

Carrying out basic mechanical modifications to motors, fitting cowls, fans, flanges etc

To substitute for the Goods Inward person when on holiday, off sick etc

Movement of stock between warehouses.
