Medical Receptionist (With HCA Training Opportunity)
Location: South West London
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 09:30–18:30)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £25,000 per annum
About the Clinic
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established private women’s healthcare clinic located in South West London. The clinic is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care for women and families. With advanced facilities, modern technology and a multidisciplinary team of leading healthcare professionals, the clinic offers comprehensive services including maternity, gynaecology, pelvic health physiotherapy, menopause care and general practice — all under one roof.
They are now seeking a compassionate, organised, and professional Medical Receptionist who is eager to develop into a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join their friendly team. The clinic will arrange and fully fund Phlebotomy and Basic Life Support (BLS) training as part of the role, offering an excellent opportunity for career progression within healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional front-of-house service, greeting patients and managing incoming calls.
Maintain smooth day-to-day clinic operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Deliver exceptional patient service to help foster loyalty and ensure a 5-star experience.
Manage reception duties: appointment booking, rescheduling, telephone queries, payment processing, and general administrative support.
Ensure full compliance with clinic policies, protocols, and CQC standards.
Following completion of training, HCA duties will include:
Carry out and record basic vital observations, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight measurements.
Perform phlebotomy in line with clinical protocols.
Undertake urine sampling and support with specimen processing.
Act as a first aider within the building (following BLS training).
Provide chaperoning for gynaecological examinations and procedures.
Assist clinicians with basic clinical duties as required.
Manage stock levels of medical supplies, consumables, and stationery.

Previous experience as a medical receptionist (essential).
A genuine interest in developing into a Healthcare Assistant role.
Willingness to undertake funded Phlebotomy and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent written and spoken English.
