We have a new job vacancy for a New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to join our Farmers Boy Greenside manufacturing site in Bradford. In this job role the successful candidate will support all product development activity within the Pies, Quiche & Sausage rolls categories. You will support the NPD Manager to develop existing and launch new profitable own brand products to agreed targeted briefs and category strategies. Ensuring 100% accuracy on relevant process timescales, documentation and smooth transition to factory production with full adherence to the Manufacturing Stage & Gate Process.
Requirements of the Job
As a New Product Development (NPD) Specialist you will work with suppliers on new raw materials and complete paperwork. You’ll brief Manufacturing Packaging Manager and Site Packaging team on any new packaging requirements and attend any trials at site. You will complete ready reckoners for costs to ensure we develop commercially viable recipes ensuring that you complete all paperwork and make products for sample submissions and brand panels. You will co-ordinate artwork reviews, submit cutter guides, sign off artwork and co-ordinate any factory trials.

You will have demonstrable experience of new product development, innovation and renovation of products ideally from a food supplier or manufacturer along with experience of being able to interpret and translate data and insights. You’ll ideally have a strong understanding of the category you are specialising within and be able to build, maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.

Farmers Boy Greenside began production in 1980 and moved to a state of the art building in 1999. We are one of the biggest Fresh Food Factories in the UK with 6 operations under one roof. We employ over 1500 people at site operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week across 44 production lines.
