Summer School: Activity Leader & Assistant

Would you like to play a key role in inspiring motivated young people as they develop their critical thinking, study skills, and academic confidence? We are seeking an Activity Leader & Assistant to support a week-long residential summer programme.

38 - 45 hours per week
£600.00 Per Week

What are you going to do:

Dates: Monday 29 June – Saturday 4th July

Role Responsibilities:

Support students in their studies and be a point of contact to offer help.

Supervise students during study hours, free time and organised activities.

Lead and support student groups (approximately 15 students) on excursions and activities around Oxford, alongside other staff members.

Monitor student wellbeing and report any academic or pastoral concerns to other programme staff

Uphold safeguarding standards and report concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Willing to undergo advanced DBS check (Paid for by CTT)

Reside on site at St Hilda’s College with student delegates for the duration of the programme.

Person Specification:

Essential:

Experience working with young people under 18

A passion and commitment for education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

A proactive and flexible mindset

Current or former University of Oxford student

Previous experience in camps, summer schools, mentoring or coaching and working with young people.

Nice to have:

Experience working with an international cohort of students.
