An award-winning civil engineering contractor, has an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to develop their expertise and contribute to high-quality infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in site operations throughout the entire project cycle, working across sectors such as marine and coastal works, highways, flood defence, bridges, and ports and harbours.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations & Supervision
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work aligns with project plans and specifications.
- Set out works and verify levels, alignment, and measurements.
- Collaborate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Identify risks to project delivery and resolve or escalate promptly.
- Conduct progress reviews and report updates to site management.
Compliance & Quality
- Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure all necessary permits are obtained before commencing site activities.
- Address non-compliance or quality issues, escalating as required.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Promote safety as a core value across all activities.
- Identify, report, and address safety concerns, escalating where necessary.
- Support HSEQ and Sustainability objectives, communicating updates to the team.
What You’ll Bring
- Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a civil engineering role.
- Full driving licence valid in the UK/Ireland.
- Flexibility to travel and work on multiple projects across the UK.
