Thomas Cook Money is a holiday bank.  We want to make holiday money easy for customers by helping them save, borrow, spend and protect themselves in a fun and rewarding way.  We are embarking on a 5 year journey fixing what we have today, building a new customer proposition we can be proud of, then growing that proposition into new geographies.

The Job

This position will be responsible for managing the delivery and implementation of projects as a result of business demand.  Working with the Product, Technology team and external partners, the job holder will ensure that processes, solutions and functionality delivered, meets the business needs and complies with product, compliance and technical policies and architectures.  The role will be the focal point for design, solutioning, project management and delivery of projects as required by product teams.

• Responsible for ensuring assigned projects are delivered on time, to budget and to specifications
• Set up the teams required to deliver and manage the delivery of projects for TCM, delivering the future solutions through close engagement with various partners and suppliers
• Build the integrated project plan, manage business wide inter-dependencies, risks and issues, prioritizing and scheduling tasks and team appropriately 
• Manage project governance, reporting and communications surrounding business change projects in accordance to TCM delivery standards
• Manage changes in scope, resource or time using Agile or Waterfall processes
• Manage the implementation of the project to success aligning technical and business change aspects

Skills, know-how and experience:

• Strong commercial and customer focus
• Delivery experience in a financial service environment working across business and IT
• Excellent communication skills; high standard of written and spoken English and the ability to explain functionality to non-specialists
• Proven skills in delivering technology-based projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with end user expectations
• Evidence of delivering major technical change in a large organisation or fast moving start up with strong project management experience
• Excellent planning and governance skills
• A strong ability to question and listen to understand the interactions between people, processes and technology
