Online Marketing Internship in The Netherlands

What are you going to do:

The internship concerns online activities. You do not need knowledge and experience with the following tasks as we will explain how things work. However, we do expect you to be eager to learn and to act proactively. The function will rely on your knowledge and will be executive as well.

Tasks:

• Write SEO enhanced content
• Implement marketing communication strategy for UK
• Assist Lugarde marketing team in online and offline marketing tasks (mainly for UK, if necessary for DE and NL as well)
• Improve the usability of the website(s)
• Manage and monitor social media

• Link building
• Create, improve and/or translate content (text, pictures, and videos)
• Seek for interesting websites, blogs and forums to provide content to
• Help with paid content on the internet, for example AdWords and Amazon
• Work on our dealer extranet

All the online activities aim to increase our website traffic, improve user experience & usability and raise conversion (sales, catalogue requests, and quote requests). We can adjust the internship to the guidelines of the University program and/or the desires of the trainee.

Job requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, International Business or likewise
• Native English speaker (a must)
• Excellent writing skills (a must)
• Adequate fluency in German or Dutch. Ability to perform translation of written text from German or Dutch into English (not a must but will be an advantage)
• Ability to easily find your way on the internet
• Knowledge of Photoshop and/or video editing software will be an advantage, but it is not mandatory as you can learn it here.

You will join a team providing a professional atmosphere in which you will work together with an experienced marketer, an English colleague, a Dutch trainee and a German trainee. We work hard but there is also time to have fun. Besides, there will be sufficient space and attention to your personal development and your questions.

During your internship you can gain a lot of experience, which will contribute to your resume (Lugarde is the number one brand in garden buildings and there is a high demand for employees with online marketing experience in the market). We are very flexible. You can choose to work full-time or part-time. The internship can also be customized to meet the goals and requirements of your study program.

The remuneration for interns is € 300,- net per month based on a 40 hour week. On top of the remuneration, we will pay your rent (maximum € 400,- net per month). You will also receive a travel allowance from your residence (Deventer) to the office (Laren). By bus it takes 20 minutes from Deventer to Laren. The bus stop is right in front of the office. Furthermore, interns are entitled to two vacation days per month (based on a 40 hour week).
