Job description
I’m partnering with a well-established, industry-leading organisation operating at the heart of the UK retail ecosystem to appoint a Category Development Manager.
This is a highly strategic, stakeholder-facing role focused on strengthening senior retail relationships, leading priority sector initiatives, and driving the adoption of industry-wide standards and innovation programmes across the UK retail landscape.
The Role
- Lead a portfolio of priority retail accounts and strategic industry initiatives
- Build and own relationships with senior stakeholders across major UK retailers
- Drive adoption of next-generation identification and digital transformation initiatives
- Support expansion into priority retail categories
- Manage an established senior retail advisory group
- Identify and progress commercial and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align strategy with market priorities
About You
- Proven account management or senior stakeholder engagement experience within or alongside large retailers
- Strong understanding of the UK retail landscape
- Commercially aware with experience developing opportunities through relationships
- Confident engaging and influencing senior leaders
- Comfortable navigating complexity and driving delivery
- Strategic, collaborative, and solutions-focused
