Job description

Want to join one of the leading Consumer Durable brands in the market? Looking for a role that offers real autonomy and a clear progression path? Keen to develop your career across grocery and online retail accounts?

Junior National Account Manager - Grocery & Online Accounts

2 Days in the Lancashire office

I’m currently partnered with a well-established Branded Consumer Durables business that has been a leader in its category for over 50 years. With a £150M turnover and 30% year on year growth, the business continues to go from strength to strength. They’re known for their high product quality and innovative NPD, constantly evolving to meet consumer demand and stay ahead of the market.

Due to this continued growth, they’re now looking to hire a Junior National Account Manager. The role offers exposure to major grocery accounts alongside key online retailers, giving you the opportunity to work with Top 6 grocery customers as well as platforms like Amazon and Very.

From a career development perspective, the progression path to National Account Manager and Senior National Account Manager roles is clear. Thanks to the company’s ongoing growth, progression opportunities are driven by expansion rather than waiting for roles to become available. You’ll also work closely with an experienced SNAM, providing strong support and guidance as you develop.

Experience managing grocery accounts isn’t essential, but it would be advantageous as you’ll already understand how these customers operate. What’s most important is someone motivated, commercially sharp, and ready to take the next step with greater autonomy.

  • Managed selected key grocery/online accounts with P&L responsibility, driving profitable sales growth in line with budgets.
  • Developed and executed joint business plans to increase revenue and market share.
  • Supported Senior Account Managers in managing relationships with national accounts across Multiple and E-Retail channels.

  • Prepared and delivered sales presentations and commercial proposals.
  • Assisted with pricing negotiations, contracts, and customer agreements.
  • Handled customer data requests and administrative support.
  • Built strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of the UK retail market across Multiples and E-Retail channels.
  • Experience of P&L management
  • A growth mindset
