Love to travel? – You need to be over the moon with this aspect of the role as on average it is 6 weeks on site (International) and then 5-7 days rest and recouperation at home – then you jet set off again!

Salary & Package

· Salary: (Starting) £44,000 per annum

Overtime to 50K+

· Salary review: Formal review after 6 months

Location & Working Pattern

· Home-based (UK) with international travel

· Travel split: ~80% Europe (typically within a 3-hour flight) | ~20% further afield (usually Asia)

· Must live within 1 hour of a UK international airport (due to frequent European travel)


Working Hours

· 47.5 hours per week

· 9.5 hour days plus a 30 minute break

· Site-based role operating under a lieu system

· Additional hours may be required depending on installation schedules and site needs

· Overtime available


The Opportunity

Join a niche, boutique UK market leader backed by a powerhouse German parent group. This is a hands-on, team-first installation role where you’ll gain rare, specialist experience, receive practical training, and progress into senior/lead engineering responsibilities as you deliver.


Key Responsibilities

· Install and commission specialist Supertrack monorail systems on customer sites

· Work from technical drawings/CAD layouts and installation plans

· Troubleshoot on site to deliver right-first-time installation and quality

· Support testing, commissioning and snag resolution

· Complete RAMS, site documentation, daily logs, timesheets and reports

· Work safely at all times (including working at height) and follow site H&S requirements

· Operate as a team player on site—support colleagues to hit deadlines and deliver quality.


What We’re Looking For:


Essential:

· Completed mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or recognised equivalent qualification)

· Work experience in a technical role, ideally with some installations and reading of technical/CAD drawings

· Strong H&S mindset; comfortable working at height

· Full UK driving licence; valid passport/right to work in the UK

· Agile, flexible, hands-on and happy to travel for extended periods

Desirable:

· Installation/commissioning experience on automated systems, conveyors or monorail systems or similar

· MEWP, forklift or working-at-height certifications (or willingness to obtain)
