Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the installation and commissioning of sophisticated security systems including alarms, access control, CCTV, intercom, and public address systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance on various high-profile construction projects across Central London and the South East.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation quality and commissioning of security systems. Ensure all systems are programmed and commissioned according to project specifications.
• Quality Audits and Compliance: Conduct project quality audits, identify and resolve non-conformances, and ensure adherence to both company and client-specific procedures.
• Project Liaison and Support: Maintain regular communication with project delivery teams to monitor progress and resolve issues. Provide ongoing support to installation teams and manage end-user training.
• Technical and Training Responsibilities: Resolve technical issues in collaboration with project management and provide essential on-site training to end users. Demonstrate completed systems to ensure they meet client expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the security industry, with a strong focus on CCTV, access control systems, and associated electronic devices.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and hardware such as Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon, Honeywell, and Gallagher.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple aspects of the commissioning phase including procedures, equipment, and labour.
• Strong communication skills, capable of producing clear and concise reports and effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
• Commitment to high standards of safety and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
