Job Title: Sales Administrator
Overview: MRTC (Midlands Radiotelephone Centre) Events specialises in the hire of high-quality, customised radio communication systems to the motorsport and event industries. With over 35 years of experience, the company provides dry hire to a number of flagship events, including Formula 1, the Commonwealth Games, and the Invictus Games, in addition to supporting outdoor concerts, sports arenas, and the broadcasting industry, amongst others.
Job Description: The Sales Administrator plays a crucial role in MRTC’s customer-facing operations, working closely with customers and colleagues to process accurate and timely orders for the hire and sale of radio communications equipment. By building customer relations and proactively following up quotations, this role ensures that MRTC Events remains at the forefront of the communications industry.
Role Expectation: The Sales Administrator is responsible for responding to enquiries, gathering relevant customer information, preparing quotations, generating accurate contracts and sales orders, and planning logistics to support the smooth delivery of MRTC Events services. Based at Donington Park, the role requires efficiency and adaptability, utilising a specialist order‑quoting and processing system.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with customers and producing hire, sales, and repair quotations.
- Processing orders and raising contracts accordingly.
- Proactively following up quotations with customers via email and phone.
- Ensuring accurate and timely updates of quotation status within the sales pipeline.
- Overseeing the delivery, distribution, and collection of MRTC Events equipment.
- Maintaining records and informing internal departments of any relevant changes.
- Filing and organising company documentation.
- Carrying out additional administrative tasks, where required.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in sales administration, order processing, and customer support.
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or sales order processing systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to learn and adopt new processes quickly and efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Adaptability and composure under pressure.
