Strategic Account Executive

Arcana is looking for a Strategic Account Executive

Job description

Arcana is a portfolio intelligence platform used by hedge funds and asset managers to analyze performance and risk. We’re rebuilding the institutional analytics stack — and we’re hiring a Strategic Account Executive to accelerate our growth across London and EMEA.

Arcana already works with leading institutional clients in London. This role will build on that foundation — driving new logo acquisition and expanding our regional footprint across EMEA.

This is a senior individual contributor role with full quota ownership. We are looking for a top-tier enterprise seller who consistently performs at the top of their team and thrives in complex, high-stakes institutional sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Own new business development across London and EMEA
  • Drive full-cycle enterprise sales: sourcing, executive engagement, solution positioning, procurement, and close
  • Close complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS deals with hedge funds and asset managers
  • Develop trusted relationships with CIOs, COOs, Heads of Risk, PMs, and senior investment leaders
  • Expand Arcana’s presence within the London institutional ecosystem
  • Represent Arcana at industry conferences and senior-level meetings
  • Partner closely with Product and Leadership to translate market feedback into strategic growth
  • Carry and execute against a seven-figure annual quota, driven by high-value enterprise deals

Requirements

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally selling into hedge funds, asset managers, or institutional allocators
  • Consistent top performer with a demonstrated record of closing high-value enterprise deals
  • Proven ability to close high ACV SaaS or financial technology contracts
  • Deep familiarity with institutional investment workflows (portfolio analytics, attribution, risk, alpha/beta, drawdowns, factor models, etc.)
  • Strong network within the London institutional investment community
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
  • Highly autonomous and entrepreneurial — comfortable owning a region and carrying a meaningful quota

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or similar is a strong plus
  • Experience selling portfolio analytics platforms, risk systems, OMS/PMS, or market data solutions strongly preferred
  • Experience operating as a senior regional individual contributor is a strong plus

Why This Role Is Different

  • Meaningful ownership of EMEA growth
  • Existing institutional traction to build upon
  • Direct exposure to leadership and strategic influence
  • Opportunity to shape the next generation of portfolio intelligence tools
