The TeamOur IT Intern gets to work on a range of IT disciplines and has the chance to meet and interact with many areas of the business during their year with Mattel. Daily activities will include supporting business systems, end user support and administration. Time will be allocated for getting involved in regional & global IT projects primarily around Ecommerce & data analytics. New skills can be learned, and existing expertise can be applied. We try to ensure our interns receive a 'taste' of IT operating in a multi-national company and welcome enthusiastic, friendly people to our team in Slough.

The OpportunityWe are looking for a undergraduate UK university student to join the GTO team to work on the following duties:

Work with Business Analyst/Project Manager/Tech leads on projects

Business requirements gathering & identifying issues

Ecommerce prototype building/proof of concepts

Test scenarios/user acceptance testing

Administration, status updates & communication

Report building in IBM Cognos Analytics suite

Regular office operation support

Updating & creating Sharepoint & Simplr content/sites

Meeting room & connectivity tools support

Ad hoc user support requests

Key Performance Indicators:

Meeting deadlines for projects

User satisfaction with application support

Regular communication of open and resolved issues to management

Social and Philanthropic OpportunitiesMattel Interns receive a unique opportunity to play an active role in the generation of event initiatives, with the other Mattel interns alongside the 'Heart of Play' social committee, to drive employee engagement and live the Mattel Brands, including the Halloween Party, Children's Festive Party and other ad-hoc events and activations. As well as assisting with the organisation and delivery of philanthropic activities as a member of Mattel's charity events management team, "Our Committee".

What We're Looking ForExperience/Working knowledge of the following is an advantage:

Currently studying an undergraduate degree in IT with a placement year (Masters students will not be accepted)

Ecommerce platforms – Shopify (an advantage) + others

Basic coding experience (java script, python, HTML, CSS etc)

Social media platforms/marketing/analytics

Report building tools

Standard PC applications MS suite/Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop)

PC/MAC books/Tablet/mobile devices

Behavioural Competencies

Live/willing to relocate within a commutable distance of the Slough office
