We’ve got a vacancy for a Level 3 Buyer to work within our Cafe team based at Hilmore House in Bradford managing the Barista bar business.
The purpose of this role is to develop an understanding and expertise about your category and will be the driver of sales providing customers with products that they want to buy; which in turn will drive profits, margin and market share. You will develop supplier relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to resolve all issues efficiently and effectively & drive the new initiative forward.
You’ll have support from a Buying manager and will look after your own suppliers, SKU’s and promo activity, you’ll also have some budget and P&L responsibility.
In the role you’ll do things like this;
Develop the Barista bar product offer to drive sales & deliver outstanding customer service
Work on the successful roll out of future Barista bars
Work with stakeholders to further develop operational processes
Be a product expert and support to stakeholders
Work with others to manage stock availability, waste/shrink and markdowns
Make sure products/processes comply with company policy and legal requirements
Negotiate with suppliers
Work with the buying manager to develop your 12 month plan
Some training will be given to you in the role however you’ll need to have a passion for Trading, it would be really great if you already had experience in any of the following too;
You'll need to be able to work under pressure
Experience of building strong relationships & having influence with suppliers and stakeholders
Negotiation skills
Product knowledge - a passion for coffee would be preferable!
