What are you going to do:

We require an intern who can support our art and antique dealers as they move into our vast exhibition space on King's Road, and work with the BADA team to keep everything running smoothly when we open to the public. You will need to be a confident communicator, have exemplary time-keeping and a knowledge of art or antiques would be an advantage.

This role involves administrative tasks, communication and forward-planning. You will be assisting with pass-printing, scheduling, front of house duties, answering dealer enquiries and supporting the vetting committees before public opening day.

You MUST be available on several days between 5-23 March 2018.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to work on one of the longest-running fine art, design and antiques fairs in the UK, working alongside dealers with specialist knowledge across the arts.
  • Experience and learn the ins and outs of a large-scale event, working alongside the BADA Events team.
  • Deliver an event in one of the most exclusive and sought after areas of London, in Chelsea.
  • Gain valuable experience in event planning, organisation, communications and administrative tasks.
  • We will provide a full reference for you, following completion of the internship.

What we ask:

  • We request that you are educated to A Level or Foundation Level as minimum
  • Customer service experience is a necessity for this role
  • We are looking for someone who is positive, ready to learn and can perform well under pressure.

The fair is a busy environment with lots of visitors, so it's important to be presentable and know how to respond if a difficult situation arises.

Please provide evidence that you have experience in dealing with customer enquiries, and how you have developed your communication skills up to this point.

If you have any prior knowledge of art or antiques, we would love to hear about it, although this is not a necessity in order to fulfil this role.

Available to work across 5-7 days between 5-23 March 2018.

Apply

If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your most recent CV and a brief cover letter summarising your interest. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Extra information

The role will involve working in the week leading up to the fair, and whilst the fair is open to the public.

You will not be required to work every day, and we will agree a schedule that suits your existing commitments. You will be given a full lunch break each day, and will have set working hours.
