Autism Support Assistant – Cheltenham (Full-Time / ASAP Start)£85–£100 per day

Your Role as an Autism Support AssistantAs part of the team, you'll play a key role in helping students navigate both their learning and their daily school experience. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with their classwork and emotional regulation

Creating a positive, engaging, and safe space for learning

Encouraging independence and confidence

Assisting the class teacher with classroom routines and lesson preparation

Helping maintain a calm and supportive learning environment

Observing and learning a range of specialist strategies to best support autistic learners

You'll work closely with experienced teachers and staff, giving you invaluable exposure to different techniques, interventions, and ways of supporting children with diverse needs.

Passionate about supporting children with additional needs

Able to build positive relationships with students

Confident, resilient, and ready to learn

Experience with children or young people, especially those with ASD, is a bonus but not essential. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Education, or similar fields are encouraged to apply. Individuals with backgrounds in creative or active areas (art, drama, sports, music) are also welcomed.
