Nectarine Eventz presents BoardSingles Event Hosts! in London

What are you going to do:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION What is Nectarine Eventz and BoardSingles?

Simply put, BoardSingles is board game events for single people aged 25 – 38 years of age.

The company, Nectarine Eventz, in its current form, started trading in November 2016.The first actual event took place in May 2017 and then there were another two in July and November of last year.

The next event will be taking place on Saturday 17 February and is entitled,Valentine's Board Game After Party!

Hosts are needed to welcome guests and explain the games during the three gaming rounds played.

How the event works:

There are three different games which I supply. Guests are able to view YouTube instructional videos of them before the event. The games are played for 30 minutes each. Using a system utilising lanyards, the guests meet and mingle with different people for each different round of games played. Game rules are explained to each group at the start of each game.

EVENT HOSTS TASKS

Event hosts will help out with any tasks required by the organiser.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Preparation for event:

1. Learning game rules for rehearsal session and event
2. Attend rehearsal session to familiarise self with playing of the games and explaining the rules

At event:

1. Setting out area (not moving furniture) i.e. the welcome desk and signing in sheets, fixing
   valentines decorations etc.
2. Laying out games
3. Signing in guests
4. Giving out lanyards & information about assigned groups for the games
5. Helping with informal cloakroom area
6. Directing guests as necessary around venue
7. Liaising with venue staff
8. Assistance with the groups and the game rules
9. Taking photographs
10. Packing away games
11. Tidying the area – N.B. not cleaning
