Job Title: HR Intern (6 months)

 

Reporting To: Director of HR

Department / Business Area: Human Resources , Thomas Cook Airlines

 

Location: Manchester Hangar, M15 4GY

 

The Role: 

 

Responsible for HR Project support , during ‘Big Leap’ change programme. Supporting effective management of central HR inboxes and systems administration, so as to maintain the smooth running of the HR operational requirement. 

 

Systems and in-boxes are listed below in a non-exhaustive list;

 

Systems Administration & Maintenance

• ER Tracker

• Success Factors (EC, Recruitment, LMS, MyPad)

• In-House Online Systems (Heartbeat, Recruitment Approvals, TCX012A / TCX012L, Sickness)

• SAP

 

Reporting

• Every Voice Data Support

• Scheduled  & Ad-hoc Reporting including support in the creation of core data

 

In-box Management

• MyPad In-box

• HR Admin. In-box

 

Use of the systems to build a structure of information consistency and availability amongst senior management and HR Business Partners to enable the company to make meaningful decisions.  

 

Input in to processes that drive core data quality to support automated processes in order to drive down administration within HR and to be able to support in the creation, and maintenance of KPI’s. 

 

Serves as liaison and central point among HR Projects, Reward, Payroll, Recruitment and Generalist areas with regard to operations and system input / changes.

 

Support the HR Projects with additional HR process & system transformational programmes, both locally and across the Group Airlines segment. 

 

Maintains quality and consistency of HRIS database information specifically the Organization Management (OM) SAP module.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

• Project Management

• Contributor to the processes surrounding the creation of scheduled and ad-hoc reports

• Management and understanding of data from numerous systems

• Transforming large amount of data into digestible management information and supply of reports into senior management team and HRBP’s

• Initiative and creativity to highlight blockers in current processes with a drive for continuous improvement

 

Key performance indicators:

• Projects delivered

• Create timely and accurate reports as required

• Creation of organisational charts through improved management of data

• Harmonisation of HR data across systems

• The ability to prioritise and schedule work around key tasks

 

Skills and experience

• Extremely proficient in MS Excel

• Project Management experience

• Highly logical and analytical

• Knowledge of HR systems (SAP or equivalent)

• Ability to work across and understand large volumes of data

• Ability to manage relationships across all levels 

• Strong work ethic, must be self-motivated and able to use own initiative

• Effective time-management skills, must be able to prioritise and meet deadlines

 

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of SAP 

 

Technical / professional qualifications:

• Advanced Excel Qualification
