Internship at City Skin Clinic
Brainworks Interactive Ltd is an innovative biotechnology startup co-founded by a doctor and Lawyer. We aim to combine the latest in bioaesthetics and technology to provide fuss-free beauty solutions for busy women. Our emphasis is on integrating bioactive skincare, professional cosmetic treatments and an online beauty hub. The initial focus of the company is to develop our boutique aesthetic clinic (City Skin Clinic) which provides natural looking expert aesthetic treatments in the City of London to a client list predominantly comprising busy professional women.
What are you going to do:
We are looking for an intern who is interested in working for a beauty startup and learning about business development as well as growth hacking. You will have a hands on role in running the clinic for two days of the week as well as working from home on digital marketing projects and tasks. There is potential to be involved in the launch of a new skincare line and also for a more permanent position at the end of the internship. This is an opportunity to create a job around your particular skills and interests. The internship is initially for 3 months at 20 hours per week.
The internship will require you to spend every thursday and Friday (1pm-8pm) in the clinic (the remaining time you will be able to work from home), greeting patients, performing market research and invoicing. In addition to the role at the clinic, the internship will also comprise of a digital marketing project. This is to oversee the facebook and instagram accounts for the clinic as well as contribute to the beauty blog. You will be involved in setting goals for the social media campaign and be provided with a budget to boost traffic alongside your organic efforts. We will also be launching a skincare line in the autumn and you will be involved in some of the market research, marketing and if you are interested in the planned crowdfunding campaign.

What we ask
- Bachelor's degree ideal (will also consider gap year students or someone who has completed A-levels/equivalent). Everyone is welcome to apply and our decision will be mainly based on enthusiasm, skills and interests).
- No specific work experience is required but it is essential to provide evidence of being organised, responsible and able to manage tasks effectively. Experience of digital marketing and social media (even from personal accounts) is a must.
