Job description
I am recruiting for a Sales Executive on behalf of my client, a global leader in scientific software for drug discovery. This role is focused on selling a cloud-based computational platform to PhD-level scientists and research labs across Europe.
The Sales Executive will take ownership of a high-value territory, managing complex sales cycles and developing long-term customer relationships within the scientific and pharmaceutical R&D community.
This is a remote role and will require regular European travel (up to 50%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell scientific software solutions into the drug discovery space.
- Manage large, multi-stakeholder deals, often valued over $2M.
- Build relationships with research scientists, lab managers, and executive stakeholders.
- Coordinate software evaluations with technical and applications teams.
- Drive new business while nurturing renewals and upsells.
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and events.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in scientific, software, or instrumentation sales into drug discovery or life sciences.
- Strong understanding of the drug discovery ecosystem and lab workflows.
- Proven success managing complex sales with technical and financial stakeholders.
- Scientific degree (preferably in chemistry or biology).
- Excellent communication, organisation, and CRM skills.
- Confident working independently across a technical customer base.
