Doris Group UK are looking for a Junior Process Engineer. As a leader in Engineering, advisory and project management for energy, the mission is to make conventional energies cleaner and make renewable and new energies possible. As a Junior Process Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of process engineering activities across a range of projects.
With a strong focus on safety, quality, and innovation, we work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable and efficient power and control systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team shaping the future of energy systems, particularly within the renewable and offshore wind space.
What you'll do
- Perform process engineering calculations and simulations
- Prepare key process deliverables such as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), UFDs (Utility Flow Diagrams), P&IDs, process lists, and procedures
- Produce clear and accurate technical reports for internal review and client submission
- Support process design activities in line with project requirements, codes, and standards
- Assist in defining process design approaches and criteria under the direction of the Lead Process Engineer
- Contribute to safe and efficient design, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and technical integrity
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Gain proficiency in process simulation tools such as HYSYS and UniSim
- Participate in company training and development programmes
- Provide occasional support to other areas such as consultancy and business development
What you'll bring
We’re looking for someone eager to develop their engineering career, with a solid technical foundation and a proactive mindset. You’ll ideally have: We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented graduate or early-career engineer with a strong interest in process engineering. You’ll ideally have:
- A degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Some exposure to process engineering through internships, placements, or graduate roles (design or operations)
- Awareness of oil & gas production and processing (desirable)
- Familiarity with process simulation tools such as HYSYS or UniSim (or willingness to learn)
- Understanding of engineering codes and standards (desirable)
- Interest in working towards professional accreditation (e.g. Chartership)
