  • Apply modern analysis and design methodologies to real-world engineering challenges
  • Support the development of environmental loads (wind, wave, marine conditions) from source data
  • Contribute to in-service assessments such as fatigue, seismic, boat impact, and in-place analysis
  • Assist with pre-service assessments including transportation and lifting studies
  • Develop an understanding of installation methods and fabrication processes
  • Carry out finite element analysis using industry-standard software (e.g. SESAM, SACS, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS)
  • Support the preparation of engineering models, calculations, and technical reports
  • Participate in technical discussions and project meetings
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure work is performed in line with internal procedures and industry standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, including automation of tasks through programming where possible

What you'll bring

We’re looking for a motivated and curious engineer with a passion for offshore structures and problem-solving. You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree (BEng, MSc, or PhD) in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline
  • A strong interest in offshore engineering, marine environments, and renewable energy
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems and develop solutions
  • Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and finite element analysis methods
  • Some familiarity (or willingness to learn) structural analysis software such as SESAM, SACS, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, or ABAQUS
  • Awareness of offshore design standards, regulations, and industry practices (desirable)
  • Basic programming or automation skills (e.g. Python) are advantageous
  • Good understanding of physics as applied to structural and marine environments

Soft skills and behaviours:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining awareness of the bigger picture
  • Positive, collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required
  • Results-driven with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Open-minded, with confidence to express and defend engineering judgement
  • Strong IT literacy and commercial awareness

Why join us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact, forward-looking energy projects while developing your expertise in a collaborative, hybrid working environment. You’ll be part of a passionate team contributing to cleaner energy solutions and safer industrial operations.
