HGV Class 1 Driver – Immediate Start - West Calder

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Calder.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and immediate starts.

This position will suit applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

• Four days per week
• Ten-hour shifts

Rates of Pay:

• £16.95 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Store deliveries, pick-up and drop-off runs
• Delivering to stores using cages (pulling cages to the back door)
• Carrying out vehicle walk-round checks
• Reporting vehicle defects in line with company procedures
• Driving in compliance with UK road traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with the transport team

Essential Skills:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE driving licence
• Have a valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• Be punctual with excellent time-keeping skills
• Have a solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Demonstrate effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial Category CE driving experience

Training:

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
