Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - 6 month contract - paying up to £600 Inside IR35 - Hybrid (London)

We’re partnering with one of the major UK-based technology platforms that delivers content and digital services to millions of users every day, to find a talented Site Reliability Engineer. This is an opportunity to work on high-scale, customer-facing systems where reliability, performance, and automation are critical.

The Role

As an SRE, you’ll play a key role in ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance across a modern cloud-native environment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed reliability into the entire software lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining highly reliable, scalable systems
• Improving system observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
• Automating infrastructure and operational processes
• Driving incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
• Working closely with development teams to improve system resilience
• Enhancing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies

What We’re Looking For

• Solid background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)
