Site Reliability Engineer (Contract) – AWS / Kubernetes / Terraform
Up to £600/day (Inside IR35)
Hybrid – London
6-Month Contract (Likely Extension)
The Opportunity
We’re looking for 2x Senior Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to join a household-name product company.
You’ll work alongside an experienced Infrastructure Lead and multiple engineering teams to scale platform capabilities , strengthen reliability , and drive automation across build & deployment ⚙
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines & release workflows (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab / CircleCI)
- Operate and optimise Kubernetes environments (EKS primarily, GKE exposure a bonus) ☸
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Champion reliability engineering: observability , incident response , performance & cost optimisation , and security best practices
- Drive automation across environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams
✅ What You’ll Bring
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (IAM, networking, EKS/ECR, CloudWatch, etc.) ☁
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes & containerisation (Docker)
- Solid experience with Terraform & IaC best practices
- Proven track record delivering CI/CD pipelines end-to-end
- A senior, self-sufficient communicator who can mentor and work across multiple teams
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience with service mesh & observability tools (Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Policy as code exposure
- Scripting skills (Bash / Python / Go)
- Experience with GKE or multi-cloud environments
