We are currently recruiting for our client as a preferred supplier, a Law firm with offices across the South. Our client is recognised as one of the leading law firms in the South, with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service and building lasting relationships. As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Legal Accounts Individual to join their busy Finance team. This is a full time permanent role Monday - Friday based in the Salisbury office. Parking is available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in legal finance or a general accounts background who is looking to develop their career within a respected, supportive law firm. You will work within the central Finance team, assisting with a wide range of accounting tasks to ensure the smooth and compliant running of their financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing client and office account receipts and payments
  • Checking and posting bills, credit notes, and write-offs
  • Supporting fee earners with billing queries
  • Reconciling bank accounts and dealing with daily banking
  • Managing purchase ledger invoices and payment runs
  • Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
  • Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
  • Handling finance-related enquiries from colleagues across the firm
  • Help to develop processes within the Finance
  • General administrative duties to support the Finance team

They are looking for someone who is:

  • Numerate, accurate, and highly organised
  • Confident with financial systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • A strong communicator with a helpful, professional approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in a legal finance role(desirable but not essential)
  • Familiar with the SRA Accounts Rules(desirable but not essential/training can be provided)
