Are you an experienced Complex Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in Plymouth?

As a Complex Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs—helping them live as independently as possible while feeling safe and supported in their homes and communities.

About the Role

Provide specialist support to individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge

Work within multi-staff support teams to ensure safe and effective care

Follow detailed person-centred support plans and behavioural support strategies

Assist individuals to access the community, maintain their tenancies, manage bills, and develop life skills

Work professionally, calmly, and methodically in a variety of situations

Uphold company policies, procedures, and safeguarding standards at all times

You will receive high-level training, including mandatory care training and specialist safety intervention training, ensuring you feel confident and supported in the role.

28–36 hours per week (contracted hours)

Shifts typically run 08:00–22:00, followed by a sleep-in shift from 22:00–08:00

Training & DevelopmentYou'll receive full training, including:

Online mandatory training

In-house training delivered by New Direction Support

Specialist safety intervention training

Ongoing career development and qualification opportunities, including apprenticeships

Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviours

A calm, patient, and methodical approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to follow detailed support plans and behaviour strategies
