Buying Manager - Salad in Bradford

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Buying Manager at our support centre in Bradford. Reporting to the Senior Buying Manager you’ll be accountable for part of our Salad category.

Please note that this a 12 month fixed term contract to begin in May.

What will I do in the role of a Salad Buying Manager at Morrisons?

• Drive profitability through sales

• Show clear understanding of product range in terms of quality, cost and direction

• Develop ranges and products to suit customer needs

• Ensure continuity of supply and product availability through daily communication with stores, supply chain and logistics

• Manage the supplier base to achieve costs and other benefits in the best interests of the business

What skills and qualifications do I need?

• You might be a Fresh Buying Manager already looking to make your next move or be a strong Buyer looking for your move to a Buying Manager role

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Previous experience of buying within a fast paced trading environment

• Innovative thinking to drive continuous improvement and sales

• A good eye for detail and excellent communication skills along with computer literacy

• Ability to demonstrate excellent negotiation and influencing skills
