About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the Finance Project team based at our Head Office in Bradford.

You will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager for Projects and will work as part of the Project team.  

You will lead and deliver Finance Operations projects, supporting the continuous improvement of processes and implementation of new technologies. Providing an effective and professional communication link between our Morrisons Finance stakeholders, our outsourced partner, Finance Operations and other stakeholder groups, ensuring we meet our targets and project deadlines both on a daily and strategic level.

 

As a Project Manager within Finance you will be required to do the following:

 

  • Lead and ensure all project deliverables are met and build professional relationships with business partners including Finance Operations, Commercial, Procurement and Technology
  • Communicate complex processes / changes effectively and professionally
  • Lead in the planning and prioritising of daily workload of the team and project work managing a number of projects at any one time
  • Manage small team of project analysts and be accountable for their development and career progression
  • Ensure projects are tracked against timescales and all changes to procedures are managed effectively
About You

To be a successful Internal Finance Project Manager at Morrisons you will have:

 

  • Good knowledge of accounting processes particularly Procure to Pay     
  • Good understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean / Six Sigma)
  • Experience and knowledge of working within a Shared Services environment with large operational processes
  • In depth experience of project design, implementations and testing, process mapping and lean methodologies
  • Good understanding of Operational Management/Excellence
  • Retail industry experience is preferred but not essential
