Graduate Job - General Manager - The Hairforce - Primrose Hill in London

What are you going to do:

The Hairforce – Lice Assassins is a nit and head lice clearing service that has fantastic, guaranteed success in clearing our clients. This high end, premium service is a total innovation, with a discerning clientele. We have a fantastic team of Lice Assassins who work with a combination of clever technology and hand clearing to shut down head lice infestations for both children and adults (if the children have them, Mum usually gets them). We guarantee 100% effectiveness and we are passionate about doing that.

The execution is spa like and deliberately glamorous in order to revive and rejuvenate our clients, who have often had a long battle with nits the problem before they turn to us.

We make a lot of headlines on the TV and in the papers (we have been featured many times on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies, the BBC News, BBC Breakfast Radio 94.9 FM, Vanessa Feltz show, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Mirror, The Daily Mail to name but a few), and we are award winning (e.g. British Female Inventor & Innovator of the Year Health & Beauty, Prowess Inspirational Business Mum).

The job is multi –dimensional

  • To be front of house and manage the day to day business of the service delivering the full experience to the clients
  • To work with our great team of Lice Assassins who execute the clearing and checking service. These Lice Assassins all require managing to ensure exceptional customer service is constantly understood and delivered by all
  • Be involved in the recruitment and training of Lice Assassins. As a consequence you will also be trained in the checking and clearing processes so you can step in when things get demanding and understand how to train from the inside out
  • To work with the Franchisees in collecting their monthly data and dealing with any orders and questions they have
  • To be directly involved in the marketing activities undertaken particularly social media
  • To be responsible for all the data management in the business

Place & Hours of work
10.00 am to 7.00 pm Mon – Fri with an hour for lunch. There is some change to this in the school holidays, creating greater flexibility at those times. We are also open on Saturdays 10.30 am to 1.30 pm

In detail the job falls into 4 parts

1. The smooth and efficient running of The Hairforce Lounge on a day to day basis – including Home
visits and School visits. A breakdown of those responsibilities include the following:

  • Taking bookings
  • Managing enquiries
  • Clearly communicating what we do and how we do it
  • Taking payments and managing the cashbook, banking process etc
  • Keeping client records up to date
  • Sending confirmation emails and managing email correspondence
  • Managing the client relationship throughout the entire process – over the phone and in The Hairforce Lounge – to ensure that it is an exceptionally positive, clear and professional experience
  • Managing the booking system
  • Delivering exceptional customer service at each and every stage
  • To impart to clients our information on nits and head lice and an understanding of the cycle and how we break that
  • Maintaining all the equipment, cleanliness, hygiene protocols and stock levels
  • Maintaining the appearance, cleanliness and neatness of The Hairforce Lounge
  • To manage any client issues that arise positively and constructively
  • To create a positive word of mouth response around the whole experience
  • To manage the client, schools, franchisees and marketing databases
  • To train as a Lice Assassin so you can understand and execute the service in order to train new Lice Assassins and step in and assist when things get very busy or a Lice Assassin is ill

2. The positive management of a team of Lice Assassins

  • They work in shift patterns to an allocated schedule – that allocated schedule needs constructing, managing and developing
  • Allocating and organizing the daily workload within the schedule
  • Focusing staff on understanding and delivering exceptional customer service at all times
  • Ensuring a motivated, happy and strong team culture and behavior in front of clients
  • The recruitment and training of new Lice Assassins – staying ahead of the business growth
  • The quality control of performance and delivery at all times
  • To give leadership and to provide a positive, inspiring role model to all the Lice Assassins

3. To work with the Founder and other members of her team to develop the market

  • To bring ideas and suggestions to improve and/or change things
  • To construct, develop and use more databases to promote the business
  • To input into the sales and marketing of the business, especially social media

4. To work with the Founder and other members of her team to manage and develop the franchisees

  • To be a part of their relationship management
  • To be a part of their settling in, mentoring and development
  • To administer all their equipment and marketing materials supplied
  • To help process any enquiries, requests or queries they put forward

What we are looking for is someone who takes those things seriously and possibly has some experience of them through part time assignments they have done, or who shows the qualities of someone who can develop well in those areas.
