Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the brigade with the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and production meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong abilities, culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Oversee food preparation and production to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends.
  • Train and mentor all kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and food production processes.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
