Technical Business Analyst

North West England (Remote first - 1 day per month on-site)

Up to £70,000 + bonus

We are working with a growing UK-based financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its internal technology platforms. They are bringing their tech team inhouse over the next 12-18 months and are focusing on modernising traditional processes and scaling their systems for external use.

You will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, well-defined, and effectively implemented. This role involves continuous collaboration with developers, rather than a traditional “handover” style of analysis.

What you'll do as their Technical Business Analyst:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business and technical requirements
• Act as a bridge between business users, developers, and QA teams
• Work closely with engineering teams throughout the full SDLC within an Agile Environment
• Analyse and interpret APIs, including reviewing documentation and validating integrations
• Support API testing activities using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Write clear, structured documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows
• Use SQL to query databases, validate data, and support analysis and troubleshooting
• This is an individual contributor role (no line management responsibilities)

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in a software delivery environment
• Solid experience working with APIs (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON)
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA is desirable
• Experience in financial services is advantageous but not essential
