Role: Logistics Manager

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (usually 8am-4pm, some flexibility may be required)

Contract: Permanent

Inspired Global Cuisine are a frozen ready meal manufacturer based in Gorton, East Manchester. We are an ambitious company who have grown significantly over the last 2 years, now producing over 1million meals a week and have plans to continue to grow. Which includes a re-location to a brand new 369 thousand square foot site in Chadderton, Oldham in early 2026 where we plan to double our volume over the next few years.

About the role

Take responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental concerns within the logistics operation. Including working closely with HSE team to identify improvements and maintain legal requirements such as Transport Risk Assessments, PUWER etc. Ensure all SSoW are in place and periodically reviewed, all members of the Logistics team are trained and compliant with their activities and SOP’s.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high food safety standards, working closely with the Technical team to ensure audit readiness and GMP compliance
  • Manage the logistics network to ensure efficient, cost-effective and reliable distribution of finished products to customers
  • Oversee hauliers, third-party logistics providers and delivery partners to consistently achieve service levels and operational requirements
  • Lead and manage the logistics function across multiple shifts, coordinating people, processes and systems to meet operational performance and customer service targets
  • Work closely with Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to support capacity planning, product flow and stock integrity across the site
  • Ensure full control, traceability and accuracy of stock movements in line with food safety, quality and health & safety standards

  • People focused

  • Experience managing logistics operations, hauliers and third-party delivery providers
  • Financially aware with strong cost control focus
  • Experience managing teams in a multi-shift operational environment
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making capability


Desirable

  • Food Manufacturing background
  • Experience working within temperature controlled or frozen supply chains
  • Lean / Continuous Improvement exposure
  • Experience working with WMS / logistics systems
