Overall Purpose of the Role:
DFNI is looking for a Digital & Social Media Reporter to manage the day‐to‐day running of DFNI online and social media channels. This includes keeping the website populated with content, managing multiple social media channels, newsletters and digital reporting. You will also be contributing features and analysis to the digital and print publications, and proofing and editing when required. DFNI also offers a growing portfolio of virtual and face‐to‐face awards, webinars and conferences and the reporter will be required to help cover these. Some international travel to events is required.
DFNI-Frontier is a leading travel‐retail industry publication, with a long‐standing heritage in informing, connecting and inspiring travel retail executives & buyers, brands, landlords and distributors.
DFNI Magazine is published in both print and interactive digital formats. Packed with analysis, data and commentary covering all channels and categories from a retail and supply side perspective, DFNI also covers the latest legislative, digital, and traveller trends.
Our website, www.DFNIonline.com, backed by the DFNI Daily e‐newsletter, keeps the industry informed with timely and factual coverage of the news and events shaping the industry.
DFNI-Frontier also runs a comprehensive virtual and face‐to‐face events programme including The Frontier Awards and annual Cruise Conference.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing, writing and editing factual, accurate and engaging news and online content
Compile and send out newsletters to deadline
Quality control of website content, including ensuring that all elements are up-to-date
Monitor site analytics to identify trends and areas of focus/improvement. Helping to drive improvements based on these insights to grow traffic and reader engagement.
Managing social media and creating relevant content to engage readers and followers
Helping shape digital strategy, initiating and contributing ideas and driving changes and improvements as necessary.
Liaison with the web team to realise enhancements to the site as required.
Contribute occasional features to print edition and work alongside editorial team in run up to press
Managing the digital edition including online publication.
Work with other departments to promote events and awards, and sponsored and promotional articles.

Skills and Experience:
Experience of news‐writing and online publishing. An ability to report complex issues accurately and quickly
News judgement
Strong copy‐editing and headline‐writing skills
Strong time management and deadline‐hitting skills
An ability to structure and present online articles for maximum impact and accessibility
Well‐organised and self‐motivated; able to work without supervision when necessary
Good knowledge of CMS, and Google Analytics, or an aptitude to acquire it quickly
Interest in travel retail, consumer trends
Strong social media skills, including LinkedIn
Core Competencies:
Ability to work with accuracy at speed to tight deadlines.
Excellent Microsoft skills
Exceptional written English
Digital and CRM experience including Wordpress
Utilising AI to enhance workflow
