The OpportunityWe are excited to offer an internship position for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary graduate who is keen to develop a strong foundation in veterinary orthopaedics . This role is ideal for someone considering a future residency or advanced clinical practice.

As an intern, you will work closely with our Specialist (ECVS & RCVS) and ECVS board‐eligible orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, and support teams, gaining hands‐on experience in diagnostics, surgical procedures, inpatient care, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with orthopaedic surgeries and procedures

Managing pre‐ and post‐operative patients

Supporting inpatient care and case work‐ups

Participating in ward rounds, clinical discussions, and CPD

Collaborating closely with the nursing and rehabilitation teams

Maintaining high clinical and welfare standards at all times

What We're Looking For

A veterinary surgeon registered (or eligible to register) with the RCVS

A strong interest in orthopaedics and surgical practice

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A proactive, reliable, and compassionate approach to patient care

Willingness to learn and contribute positively to a busy referral hospital
